Alander Rocha is a skilled journalist with a strong background in health and medical reporting. Currently serving as a Reporter for Alabama Reflector at States Newsroom since January 2023, Alander previously held the position of Health Editor and News Contributor at The Red & Black Publishing Co. from January to December 2022. Between August 2021 and December 2022, Alander worked as a Graduate Research Assistant at the Grady College of Journalism and Mass Communication at the University of Georgia. Alander gained additional experience as an intern with the Southern Bureau of Kaiser Health News from June to August 2022. Alander Rocha holds a Master of Arts in Health and Medical Journalism from The University of Georgia and a Bachelor of Arts in History with a focus on Latin American Studies and a minor in Political Science from Tulane University.
