Ed Schmults has held several executive and advisory roles throughout their career. Ed most recently served as the Chief Executive Officer of StateHouse Holdings since April 2022. Prior to that, they were a Board of Directors member at Vera Bradley starting in September 2010. Additionally, they served on the Advisory Board of First Insight, Inc., a provider of consumer engagement and predictive analytics solutions for brands. Ed was also the Chief Executive Officer of Urbn Leaf from February 2021 to March 2022 and the Chairman of the Board of Calyx Peak Inc. from February 2021 to October 2021. Ed Schmults has extensive experience in the cannabis industry, having served as the CEO of Calyx Peak Companies from October 2018 to January 2021. Ed also served on the Advisory Board of VStar Entertainment Group from October 2016 to July 2018. Earlier in their career, they were the CEO of Wild Things, LLC, where they rejuvenated the military and consumer brand and launched an innovative apparel customization experience. Ed also held positions on the Board of Directors of Wild Things, LLC, the Board of Trustees of the National Outdoor Leadership School (NOLS), and the Board of Directors of REI, where they served as Vice Chairman.

Ed Schmults has an MBA from Harvard Business School, obtained between 1987 and 1989. Ed also holds a BA from Yale University, achieved between 1980 and 1984, with a focus on Economics and Political Science. Prior to their undergraduate studies, they attended Deerfield Academy from 1977 to 1980. Additionally, they have a certification called the NACD Certificate from the National Association of Corporate Directors.
