Tofig Omarov is an experienced finance professional currently serving as the Lead Risk Specialist at the State Oil Company of the Republic of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) since March 2024. Prior to this role, Tofig held the position of Lead Economist at the Financial Stability Department of the Central Bank of the Republic of Azerbaijan from March 2016 to March 2024. Early in the career, Tofig worked as a Cost Specialist at AZFEN from May 2015 to February 2016 and as an Audit Assistant at Kapital Karden, a member firm of RSM International, in March 2013. Tofig's educational background includes a Master's Degree in Finance and Investment from The University of Edinburgh and a Bachelor's Degree in International Economic Relations from Azerbaijan State Economic University.
