Jim Weaver currently serves as the Secretary for Information Technology and State CIO for the State of North Carolina since March 2021. Previously, Jim held the position of Chief Information Officer for the State of Washington from November 2018 to March 2021 and served as Chief Technology Officer for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania's Office of Administration from August 2015 to November 2018. Jim's extensive experience includes various leadership roles in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania's Department of Public Welfare, where Jim progressed from various IT positions to Deputy Chief Information Officer, Acting Chief Information Officer, and Chief Technology Officer between 1987 and 2015. Jim Weaver is a Certified Government CIO, having completed education at Harrisburg University of Science and Technology in 2013.
