Stella Porter is a seasoned journalist and communications professional, currently serving as the Deputy Press Secretary in the Office of the Governor for the State of New Jersey since September 2024. Prior to this role, Stella gained extensive experience as a News Reporter and Anchor at WNYT NewsChannel 13 from September 2021 to August 2024, and as a Weekend Anchor/Multimedia Journalist at WSAW TV NewsChannel 7 from August 2019 to July 2021. Stella's foundational experience includes various roles at WSUM 91.7 FM Madison, where responsibilities ranged from hosting a campus issue show to producing and anchoring a weekly political news broadcast. Additional internship experiences at WMTV NBC 15, GLASS: The UrbanGlass Art Quarterly, and Max Mara Fashion Group further honed Stella's skills in reporting, content creation, and public relations. Stella holds a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism - Reporting from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
