Nishant Shah is an experienced professional in the fields of product management and responsible artificial intelligence, currently serving as a Senior Advisor for Responsible AI with the State of Maryland since August 2023. Previously, Nishant worked at Meta from July 2020 to May 2023 in various roles focused on product development for responsible AI and transparency in research. Prior experience includes positions at Amazon managing product features for both Woot! and the Global Delivery Experience, as well as a Digital Services Expert role with the United States Digital Service. Nishant also held leadership positions with REFUNITE, providing tech solutions for displaced persons, and served as a Senior Analyst with Ovum, contributing insights on government technology. Education includes a Master’s degree in Advanced Policy and Economic Analysis with a focus on Climate Policy from Columbia University and a BA in International Relations and Biology from Boston University.
