Siim Viilup is an accomplished mechanical engineer with a strong background in mechatronics, holding a Master of Science degree from TalTech and further studies at KTH Royal Institute of Technology. With extensive experience in mechanical design and robotics, Siim has held several key positions at Starship Technologies since May 2016, currently serving as the Head of Mechanics and Robot Infrastructure, and previously as Mechanical Engineering Team Lead and Senior Mechanical Design Engineer. Prior roles include Mechanical Design Engineer at ABB Robotics and a Mechatronics Associate Scientist at ABB Corporate Research Center, where Siim contributed to the development of mechanical designs for grippers. Earlier career experience includes a position as Test and Automation Engineer at Stoneridge Electronics.
