Rose Rees-Owen is an accomplished marketing and communications professional with extensive experience in various roles across organizations. Currently, Rose serves as the Marketing and Communications Manager for the Starship Foundation, focusing on philanthropy since May 2022. Prior experience includes positions such as Senior Communications Advisor at KiwiRail and roles at the Starship Foundation in grants and impact, as well as administration. Rose has also held the position of Internal Communications Manager at Blind Low Vision NZ, where strategic communication was designed to enhance brand awareness and engagement. Previous experience encompasses communication roles at the New Zealand Tertiary College, Fairfax Media as a reporter, and journalism at The Whangarei Leader and NorthSouth Multi Media. Rose holds a Master's Degree in Communication and Media Studies, a Postgraduate Diploma in Communications, and a Bachelor's Degree with a double major in English and Media Studies, complemented by an advanced Spanish exchange at the University of Salamanca.
