Carlos Melvin is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in data privacy and information security. Currently serving as Vice President of Data Privacy at Starbucks since February 2018, Carlos oversees global data governance and compliance with privacy regulations. Previously, Carlos held roles at REI, including Director of Information Security Services and Data Privacy, where responsibilities included designing comprehensive data protection programs. Prior experiences also include positions at Alaska Airlines, The Regence Group, and service in the US Navy. Carlos holds multiple degrees, including a Master's in Engineering from the University of Idaho and a Master's in Computer, Information, and Network Security from DePaul University.
