Mathiesha Mahamalage has a work experience of over 20 years. Mathiesha started their career at Eastern Maritime (Colombo) Limited in 1998 as a Management Trainee and worked there until 2001. In 2001, they joined Star Garments Group where they held various roles, including Manager HRD and currently serves as the Head of Talent Development.
Mathiesha Mahamalage's education history begins in 1987 when they attended St. Benedict's College in Colombo-13. Mathiesha achieved 6 Distinctions for the Ordinary Level Examination and 3A's and 1B for the Advanced Level Examination. Moving forward, from 1992 to 1994, they attended the National Seminary of Our Lady of Lanka, which was affiliated with the Pontifical Urbanian University in Rome. There, they obtained a Bachelor of Philosophy degree, focusing on Philosophy and Religious Studies.
Continuing their education, from 1994 to 1998, Mathiesha attended the University of Sri Jayewardenepura, where they pursued a Bachelor of Commerce degree, specializing in Commerce and Management. Concurrently, they also obtained a Diploma in Theology from Deva Dharma Nikethanaya in Borella, Colombo 8.
Next, in 2003, Mathiesha attended the Sri Lanka Institute of Training and Development, where they acquired a Diploma in T&D (Training and Development), specializing in Human Resources Management and Services.
In 2012, Mathiesha began studying at the University of Kelaniya in Sri Lanka, where they obtained a Master's of Business Administration degree in 2014. Mathiesha'sfield of study during this period was Business Administration and Management, General.
In 2019, Mathiesha attended the Sri Lanka Institute of Training and Development once again, this time earning certification as a Business and Life Coach. Mathiesha'sspecialization during this period was Coaching.
Lastly, Mathiesha's additional certification includes an EDB Certification for Export & Import Procedures, which they achieved in February 2001 from the Sri Lanka Export Development Board.
