Yan Shen has extensive work experience in data engineering, data science, and data architecture. They have held various roles in different companies, starting in 2013 as a Research Associate at Queensland University of Technology. From there, Yan worked as a Data Scientist at NEXTDC and Console Inc. In 2017, they joined PCCW GLOBAL Limited as a Data Scientist. In 2018, Yan became a Senior Data Engineer at Flight Centre Travel Group before moving to Tabcorp as a Senior Data Engineer/Data Scientist. In 2020, Yan worked as a Senior Data Scientist at LGIAsuper, and in 2021, they held the position of Data Architect - Manager at EY. Yan's most recent roles include Integration Specialist/Modeller at QUT (Queensland University of Technology), and currently, they are working as a Senior Data Engineer/ML Modeller at Stanwell Corporation Limited.

Yan Shen completed their Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Computer Science from Sun Yat-sen University from 2002 to 2006. Afterwards, they pursued their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Information Technology at QUT (Queensland University of Technology) from 2009 to 2013.
