Riyaz Mohamed Rinaz, E.I.T, is a Structural Engineer currently employed at Stantec since May 2024, with a strong background in civil engineering and project management. Prior experience includes a role as a Research Assistant at Lamar University from January 2023 to May 2024, contributing to resilience research and authoring two publications. From April 2021 to October 2022, Riyaz served as a Bridge/Civil Engineer at Hong Yang Engineering Construction (Pvt) Ltd, overseeing significant construction projects such as the Port City development and the SASEC Port Access Elevated Highway. Riyaz has also interned as a Civil & Structural Engineer at International Construction Consortium (Pvt) Ltd in 2019 and contributed to business development at AIESEC Sri Lanka. Academic credentials include a Master of Science in Civil Engineering from Lamar University and a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Moratuwa.
