Efrain Rondinel is an experienced geotechnical engineer specializing in tailings and waste management, currently serving as the Tailing and Waste Discipline Lead and Tailing and Waste Manager at Stantec since May 2016. Previous roles include Resident Engineer for significant mine expansions at MWH, where Efrain oversaw the construction of high saddle dams and managed geotechnical field programs. Efrain's academic foundation includes a PhD and MS in Civil Engineering from Drexel University and a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú. Efrain's expertise extends to teaching and research, having held positions as a professor and graduate assistant, culminating in leadership of one of the most recognized soil laboratories in Peru.
