Ely Michel Ruimy is the founder of the Leonard de Vinci Group which was established in Paris in 1988. He subsequently co-founded the ÆRIUM Group in 2003 of which he is the Chairman.
ÆRIUM is an independent investment management company specialising in commercial real estate across the UK, Europe and Turkey. To date the Group has acquired over 660 assets in 14 countries representing €11 billion. ÆRIUM is the Asset Manager of investment funds dedicated to Sovereign Funds (Kuwait, Bahrain, Singapore etc.) and Institutions such as AMUNDI and SwissLife.

Prior to ÆRIUM, Ely Michel ran Württemberger Hypo Finance & Services (WHFS), a commercial mortgage entity representative in France of Württemberger Hypo Bank, a leading German commercial real estate lender. From 1986 to 1988 he was a Director in Groupe GRC’s new development business where he supervised the development of regional shopping centres and the execution of commercial asset securitisation and sale advisory assignments totalling in excess of €3 billion.
Ely Michel holds a BS in Economics and Management from the University of Nice and an MBA and PhD from the University of Paris Dauphine.
