Johan Vorster is an experienced Information Technology professional with a strong background in infrastructure and architecture. Currently serving as an Information Technology Infrastructure Specialist and holding roles such as Global Head of Networks and Head of IT Communications at Standard Bank Group since March 2009, Johan is focused on strategy and architecture within the Communications Domain. Prior to this, Johan worked at GijimaAst from April 2000 to February 2009 as Chief Architect - Technology, overseeing various IT-related architectures including platforms and networks. Earlier experience at Absa Bank from August 1990 to April 2000 included the role of Technology Architect. Johan has furthered expertise through several educational qualifications, including a Master’s degree in IT Management/Research and Architecture from Leeds Beckett University and certifications such as CDCP and TOGAF.
