Deepesh Thomas is an accomplished executive with extensive experience in the insurance and asset management sectors across Africa. Currently serving as an Executive at Standard Bank Group, Deepesh leads transformative initiatives in the Short-Term Insurance businesses and heads the launch of the Unu Health Platform. Previous roles include Executive Head of Technology and Digital, where significant achievements include delivering cloud-based applications and capabilities across various sectors. Prior to Standard Bank, Deepesh served as CEO of Liberty's Short-Term Centre of Excellence, managing cross-functional teams and large budgets. Educational credentials include an MBA from the University of Cape Town and a CA(SA) designation from SAICA, complemented by a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting and Finance.
