Hugh Lavery serves as the Chief of the Division of Urology at Stamford Health since May 2023 and previously held the position of Regional Director for the Department of Urology at Queens Health Network, Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai from September 2015 to May 2023. In this role, Hugh Lavery managed a team of medical professionals and oversaw a budget exceeding $2 million while contributing to graduate medical education as Urology Residency Site Director. Notable achievements include the successful acquisition of a daVinci Xi surgical robot and overseeing departmental changes during the transition to Epic EMR. Additionally, Hugh Lavery was an Assistant Professor and Fellow in Robotics at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai from July 2009 to May 2023, and served as Acting Chief of the Division of Urology at North Bronx Healthcare Network from September 2012 to January 2015. Hugh Lavery completed a Bachelor of Arts in Biophysical Chemistry at Dartmouth College and earned a Doctor of Medicine from The University of Connecticut School of Medicine.
