Niels De Backer is a seasoned professional in chemical engineering, currently serving as Senior R&D Team Leader at Stahl since October 2015, overseeing Pilot Plant and Compounding R&D groups. Previous roles include Chemical Engineering Manager and Process Engineer. Niels also owned NDB Consultancy from May 2017 to June 2019, and worked as a Rocket Propellant Engineer at Aerospace Propulsion Products BV between January 2009 and September 2015. Additionally, Niels served as a Process Engineer at Tebodin and Mallinckrodt Baker, focusing on various engineering projects and optimizing production lines. Niels holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from Fontys University of Applied Sciences, obtained from 2002 to 2005.
