Sarah Kim has a diverse work experience in the performing arts industry. In 2009, they started working as a self-employed Violin Teacher and Freelance Violinist/Violist. In 2013, they began working as a Violin Coach for the Tacoma Youth Symphony Association. Sarah then worked as a Violinist for the Tacoma Musical Playhouse in 2014 and for the Washington Idaho Symphony in 2015. From 2014 to 2016, they were the President of the Northwestern University Collegiate Chapter for the National Association for Music Education (NAfME). In 2021, they began working as a Managerial Assistant for Magnum Opus Artists, and in 2022, they became the Community Manager for Stagetime.
Sarah Kim completed their Bachelor of Music in Violin Performance and Music Education from Northwestern University in 2018. Sarah then went on to pursue a Master of Music in Orchestral Conducting from the same university, which they completed in 2020.
