Cynthia Calhoun has held a variety of roles in their professional career. Cynthia began as a Theatre Teacher & Director for Maricopa Unified School District in 2008. In 2016, they became an Adjunct Faculty for Central Arizona College. The following year, they took on the role of Education Director & Content Creator for StageAgent. In 2018, they began working as an Adjunct Faculty for Grand Canyon University and became a Director & Board Member for BlackBox Foundation. Currently, they are a Faculty Specialist for Grand Canyon Education, Inc.
Cynthia Calhoun earned a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in English Language and Literature/Letters, Education, and Theatre from Hope College in 1996-2000. Cynthia then obtained their Master of Arts (MA) in English Language and Literature/Letters from Marquette University in 2002-2004. Cynthia is currently pursuing their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Literature at Arizona State University, which they began in 2004. Additionally, they hold a certification in Arizona Secondary Education.
