Dr. Juliane Kiesenbauer has extensive work experience in the field of marketing, communications, and public relations. Dr. Juliane most recently held the position of VP Marketing and Communications Europe at Staffbase since April 2023. Prior to that, they worked as the Director of Marketing & Communications DACH at Staffbase from May 2019 to June 2023. Dr. Juliane also served as the Head of PR & Event at Staffbase from October 2018 to April 2019.
Alongside their roles at Staffbase, Dr. Kiesenbauer has been a lecturer in Integrated Corporate Communication at FHWien der WKW (University of Applied Sciences for Management & Communication) since September 2021 until February 2023.
Dr. Juliane has also worked as the Director of Competence Management for Corporate Communication at Lautenbach Sass Unternehmensberater für Kommunikation PartG in Frankfurt from March 2018 to October 2018, where they conducted competence analyses and developed specialized competence models.
Dr. Kiesenbauer's earlier experience includes being a Researcher, Lecturer, and PhD Candidate at the Chair of Strategic Communication at the University of Leipzig from November 2012 to February 2018. Prior to that, they worked as a Communications Manager at car2go, a car-sharing company within the Daimler Group, from 2009 to 2012.
Their professional journey began with their role as a Student Assistant at the Institute for Communication and Media Studies at the University of Leipzig from September 2006 to October 2008. Dr. Juliane also gained experience as an Intern in Public Relations at Leipzig Trade Fair, Saxon State Chancellery, and Goethe-Institut Brussels.

Dr. Juliane Kiesenbauer began their education at Leipzig University, where they completed their Bachelor's degree in Communication and Media Studies from 2003 to 2009. Dr. Juliane then pursued a PhD in the same field from 2013 to 2017 at Leipzig University. Additionally, they spent a year from 2005 to 2006 studying langue et littérature germanique I information et communication at Université Libre de Bruxelles.
