Jan Verheyen is an experienced professional in urban development and real estate, currently serving as a Project Expert at Société d’Aménagement Urbain since November 2020, and a Board Member at Community Land Trust Brussels since December 2019. Verheyen also holds the position of Expert at Stad Hasselt. Previously, Verheyen was the Head of Unit "Urbanism & Heritage" for the cabinet of Brussels state secretary Pascal Smet and managed a significant urban development project at Société d’Aménagement Urbain. Earlier career roles include consulting at RebelGroup, co-founding a fashion start-up at haus COUDEYRE, and expertise in real estate at IDEA Consult. Academic qualifications include a Civil Engineer - Architect degree from KU Leuven and master’s degrees in Real Estate and Business Administration from the University of Antwerp.
