Toon Vandeurzen has held a position as a Member of the Flemish Parliament since July 2024 and serves as Schepen for the City of Genk, specializing in Space, Economy, Sustainable Development, and the Environment since January 2019. Previously, Toon Vandeurzen worked as a Legal Advisor in the Cabinet of Flemish Minister Jo Brouns for Work, Economy, Innovation, and Agriculture from May 2022 to August 2024, and as an Advisor to the Minister of Welfare from November 2019 to June 2022. Prior experience includes serving as an Advisor to the Minister of Justice from May 2017 to November 2019, focusing on commercial and economic law. Toon Vandeurzen holds a Master's degree in Law and a Bachelor's degree in Law from KU Leuven, obtained between 2010 and 2016.
