Alex Heuer serves as the Executive Producer for St. Louis Public Radio's flagship program, having also held positions as Senior Producer and Talk Show Producer within the organization since September 2012. In addition to roles at St. Louis Public Radio, Alex has contributed as a Freelance Contributing Reporter for NPR since 2009, producing newscast spots and feature stories. Prior experience includes serving as a Talk Show Producer and Reporter at Iowa Public Radio from January 2009 to August 2012, where responsibilities included generating show ideas, booking guests, and directing live programming. Alex began a journalism career at Tri States Public Radio as a Reporter while studying at Western Illinois University. Alex holds a Master of Public Policy Administration with a focus on Nonprofit Management and Leadership from the University of Missouri-Saint Louis and a Bachelor of Arts in History, Pre-Law, and Secondary Education from Western Illinois University.
