Michael Pigott is the Director of Human Resources at St. Joseph’s Nudgee College. Michael has over 20 years of experience in Human Resources and has worked in a variety of industries including retail, healthcare, and insurance.
Michael began their career as a HR Consultant with RACQ in March 2013. In this role, they provided advice and guidance to business partners on a range of HR and IR queries, policies, and interpretations. Michael also built strong working relationships with supported business partners and provided guidance, coaching, and support to management and staff on all HR matters.
In April 2014, Michael left RACQ to join St. Joseph’s Nudgee College as the Director of Human Resources. In this role, they are responsible for the management and development of the human resources function within the college. Michael provides strategic advice and guidance to the college Executive team on all people related matters.
During their time at RACQ, Michael made a number of significant contributions including implementing the use of social media to expand the reach into the passive and active job search market. Michael also developed a HR Metrics report which provided managers with a single report of the measures that they could influence to effect the management of their staff and their department’s budget.
Michael is a highly respected HR professional who is known for their ability to build strong relationships, provide sound advice, and deliver results.
Michael Pigott has a Master's in Business (HRM) from UNSW and has also completed Equal Opportunity Employer training from the Australian Federal Police, Change Management Framework from the Australian Public Service, and Mediation Practitioner from Leader.
They are on a team with Anthony Connellan - Director of Sport, Sean Toovey - Acting Dean of Students, and Paul Doneley - Director of Pathways. Their manager is Peter Fullagar, Principal.
