Richard Corneil

Richard is the CEO of St. Joseph’s Health Care Society and is the Society’s representative on the Board of Directors for St. Joseph’s Health Care London. He also serves on the Board’s Executive Committee and People and Mission Committee.

Prior to joining the St. Joseph’s Health Care Society, Richard worked for several years in higher education both in Alberta and Ontario, first as a professor and then as a senior administrator.

Most recently he served as Principal and Chief Administrator of Assumption University in Windsor. Richard’s education background is in social ethics, theology, and philosophy and he is passionate about professional development.

Richard has made many significant contributions in the area of Catholic health care mission integration and leadership training, most recently through his volunteer work on the Mission Achievement Team at Hotel-Dieu Grace Healthcare, Windsor.

Richard currently serves on the Board of Directors for the hospices in both Sarnia and London and is a member of the Governing Council of the Catholic Health Alliance of Canada. He is also active in numerous volunteer ministries in St. John the Divine Parish, London.

Richard and his wife Bridget are the proud parents of five children.
