Rhodie Sims currently serves as a Math Implementation Specialist for St. John the Baptist Parish School Board since August 2023, while also maintaining a long-standing role as an Elementary School Teacher in the St. James Parish Public School System since August 2003. Additionally, Rhodie Sims has worked as an Educator in Jefferson Parish Public Schools since August 2015 and as an Elementary Educator with the Jefferson Parish Public School System since August 2003, providing educational services to students both with and without disabilities. Rhodie Sims is also an active member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. Upsilon Mu Zeta Chapter since 2017. Educational qualifications include a Masters of Arts and Sciences in Education from Southern University at New Orleans (2006) and a Masters of Arts in Education/Teaching of Individuals in Elementary Special Education Programs from Grand Canyon University (2012).
