Orane Shaw has worked in a variety of roles since 2008. Orane began as a Music Teacher (Steel Pan) at Campion College in 2008, then moved to Bethel Baptist Church as a Youth Empowerment Officer in 2012. In 2015, they became a Teacher at The Queen's School, and most recently, in 2020, they have been the Head of Department (Science) at St. George's College.

Orane Shaw obtained a Bachelor of Science in Medical Physics from the University of the West Indies in 2015. In 2017, they completed their Master's Degree in Health/Medical Physics from the University of the West Indies, Mona.
