Lee Shiang Long

President, Land Systems at ST Engineering

Dr. Lee Shiang Long is the current President of Land Systems at ST Engineering. Lee was appointed to this position in March 2016 and has held it since then. Prior to this, they served as the Executive Director of the Institute for Infocomm Research (I2R) where they coordinated the A*STAR effort in Digital Economy for Singapore RIE 2020 (Research, Innovation and Enterprise). In this role, they led I2R to realise A*STAR's mission for a greater social and economic impact, aligned to Singapore's Smart Nation initiative.

Before joining I2R, Dr. Lee served in the Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) for 23 years. Lee's last appointment was as the Chief Information Officer and Head of Joint Communications and Information Systems Department. During their time in the SAF, Dr. Lee gained a wealth of experience in information and communications technology (ICT), which has been invaluable in their current role.

Dr. Lee holds a Master in Business Administration from Cambridge University and a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore (NTU). Lee also has a Master Degree in Science (IT) from the National University of Singapore (NUS).

Lee Shiang Long's educational career began with a diploma in Mechanical Engineering from Singapore Polytechnic. Lee then went on to earn their Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Nanyang Technological University. After working for a few years, they decided to further their education and obtained their Master of Science in Computer Science from the National University of Singapore. Lee then worked towards their Master's degree in Business Administration from the University of Cambridge. Lastly, they completed their Doctor of Philosophy in Mechanical Engineering from Nanyang Technological University.

They work with Ravinder Singh - Group Chief Operating Officer, Technology & Innovation, Tan Lee Chew - President, Commercial, and Cedric Foo - Chief Financial Officer. Lee Shiang Long reports to Vincent Chong, President & CEO.
