Laura Macklin-Purdy is an experienced professional in tourism, sales, and business development, currently serving as the Senior Manager of Tourism & Sales at the St. Charles Business Alliance since July 2019, while also holding the position of Development and Branding Manager with the Downtown St. Charles Partnership since October 2016. Previous roles include Events and Development Manager at the Downtown St. Charles Partnership, Business Development Representative at the St. Charles Chamber of Commerce, and Property Manager at Corcoran Commercial Real Estate. Laura's entrepreneurial experience includes serving as Owner and Vice-President of Breakwater Hot Tubs and Home Products, and Executive Director II at Cookie Lee Jewelry, where leadership and sales skills were honed. Earlier career roles included Director of Merchandising at M & L International and Buyer/Product Developer at The Lodge at Harvard Square. Laura holds a Bachelor of Science in Fashion Merchandising from Illinois State University.
