Karen Olsen is an experienced educator with extensive expertise in early childhood education. Currently serving as a First Grade Teacher at St. Ann Catholic School since August 2019 and a Kindergarten Teacher at Collier County Schools - Vineyards Elementary since January 2018, Olsen has a strong background in lesson planning and student assessment. Previous roles include Program Director at Learning Care Group, where oversight of a $750,000 budget and nationwide curriculum development took place, and Assistant Program Director for the Great Start to Quality initiative, managing a $9.0 million budget. Olsen's career also includes positions as Collaborative Director for Macomb County's early childhood system and Program Coordinator for the Great Parents, Great Start initiative. Educational qualifications include a Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Education from Oakland University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education/Preschool from Central Michigan University.
