Siwei Liu is an experienced Commercial Modeller at SSE Energy Solutions since June 2022. Previous roles include various positions within the IEEE PES Student Branch Chapter at The University of Manchester, including Consultant, Chair, Vice Chair, and Event and Publicity Officer from February 2018 to June 2022. Siwei served as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at The University of Manchester and was a Student Ambassador for a brief period in 2016. An undergraduate research placement took place in the Electrical and Electronic Engineering department, focusing on the development of a remote data acquisition system. Early career experience includes working as a teaching assistant at LILY English in Beijing. Siwei holds a PhD in Electrical and Electronics Engineering and a Bachelor of Engineering with Honours from The University of Manchester, as well as a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and Automation from North China Electric Power University.
