Merrick Davies Milner is an experienced metals trader and industry professional with a diverse background in trading and analysis. Currently serving as a Metals Trader at Squarepoint Capital since April 2024 and co-founding Aion Metals in October 2022, Merrick has established a base metals scrap trading company with a global presence. Prior experience includes roles at MAGNA METALS, S.A. as a Metals Trader and various positions at Trafigura, focusing on sales, marketing, and analytical roles for refined lead, zinc, copper concentrate, and aluminum. Merrick began the career at Glencore PLC as a Zinc Mine Engineer/Geologist and had internships at Lundin Petroleum and an astrophysics data center. Educated at the University of Bristol with a Master of Science in Geology and the International School of Geneva with an International Baccalaureate, Merrick combines technical expertise with a strong market acumen.
