Caroline Donally is the Managing Director at Sprott. Caroline has over fifteen years of experience in the finance industry, with a focus on mining and resources. Caroline has a proven track record in originating, structuring and executing a variety of transactions across North & South America and Africa.
Most notably, Caroline was responsible for the JDS Silver transaction, which they led from investment origination through to construction and production, and ultimately to exit for $250 million. This is Denham Capital's sole mining exit since 2010.
Prior to joining Sprott, Caroline was a Managing Director at Denham Capital, where they managed a global portfolio in excess of $1bn. Before that, they worked in Resource Finance at Rand Merchant Bank, where they focused on providing financing to mining companies in South Africa and cross-border into the rest of Africa. Caroline has many years' experience in ECA financing, especially with ECIC, the South African Export Credit Agency. Caroline has also been involved in preference share transactions, BEE transactions and providing acquisition finance to companies acquiring mines and operations.
Caroline Donally has a Bcom in Accounting from the University of the Witwatersrand and went to The Glen High School.
