Jenny Johnson is an accomplished legal professional with extensive experience in mental health, policy, and education. As Principal at J.K. Johnson Advisors, LLC since June 2018, Jenny provides strategic guidance and expertise. Currently serving as Director of Policy and Education at SPROKIT, which focuses on reducing recidivism through innovative technology for the criminal justice sector, Jenny has also been a Lecturer at the University of California, Berkeley - School of Law since 2012, co-teaching a seminar on mental health and law. Additionally, since September 2018, Jenny has co-produced the narrative podcast "November In My Soul," exploring themes related to mental illness and criminal justice. Previously, as Senior Trial Attorney at the San Francisco Office of the Public Defender from 1998 to 2018, Jenny played a pivotal role in establishing San Francisco’s first mental health court. Educational credentials include a J.D. from the University of California, Davis - School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts in English and French from the University of Michigan, supplemented by studies at Sorbonne Université.
