LifePics is an internet services company that allows retail channels to deliver quick pick-ups, personal service, and no shipping fees for their consumers. It is a popular alternative to the ‘online ship-to-home’ methods. Under Rick’s leadership, the company raised over $7 million in venture/angel capital, grew retailers using the platform to over 540 unique brands, created the largest network of brands delivered from a single technical platform, and drove all system and storage scalability for 24x7 delivery of service. Rick also grew consuming users from 100's to over 6 million, established meaningful partnership contracts with HP, Kodak, Photobucket and 30+ wholesale product providers, executed mobile photo strategy that included best photo ordering App on Apple, Android, and Windows Mobile, and grew yearly revenues meaningfully until economic downturn in 2008 and unexpected bankruptcy of several photo retailers. Throughout these tough times, Rick built one of the best functioning teams and culture and successfully sold the company in 2012 to Taylor Corporation.
