Cheryl Hertel, MBA, RN-BC, FACHE, CHCIO, serves as Vice President of Corporate Strategy and Chief Information Officer at CoxHealth since January 2017. With extensive experience at Cerner Corporation since May 2007, Cheryl has held various leadership positions, including Vice President and Executive Director for CoxHealth Information Systems, overseeing a team of 2,000 consultants for core software implementation and managing population health initiatives. Prior roles include Director of IP Clinical Strategies focusing on software strategy and best practices, as well as functional analysis in emergency medicine workflows. Cheryl's healthcare background began as a Trauma/Cardiac Critical Care Nurse from 1987 to 1999. Educational qualifications include an MBA from the University of Phoenix and a BSN from Fort Hays State University.
