Seth C. Rasmussen is a Professor of Chemistry at North Dakota State University since August 1999, focusing on materials chemistry and the history of chemistry, while also providing undergraduate and graduate education in various chemistry disciplines. Currently serving on the Advisory Board for Chemical Science at the Royal Society of Chemistry, Seth has held numerous leadership roles within the American Chemical Society, including Chair and Past Chair of the History of Chemistry Division, overseeing national programming and symposia. Additionally, Seth is a Series Editor for Springer Nature, managing publications in the field of the history of chemistry, and serves on the Scientific Board for Substantia: An International Journal of the History of Chemistry. Educational qualifications include a Ph.D. in Inorganic Chemistry from Clemson University and a B.S. in Chemistry from Washington State University.
