Evan Thomson has devoted his professional life to understanding the scientific and social underpinnings of language and literacy. He holds a BA in Linguistics & German from Georgetown University as well as an M.S.Ed. in Urban Education from the University of Pennsylvania. During his time as a 2nd & 3rd-grade teacher, Evan developed a keen interest in the Science of Reading and the benefits such knowledge had for working alongside both students and their families. Evan’s favorite childhood book is Strega Nona, not only for the magic contained within, but the fond memories he has of his parents reading it to him.
