Mike O. Abidakun

Software Engineer (flutter) at Spring Health

Mike O. Abidakun has a diverse and extensive work experience in software engineering roles. Mike O. started their career in 2002 as a Software Engineer at Ash Gaming, working on J2ME games development and creating game engines for promotional games.

In 2003, they joined Sky as a Senior Software Engineer and later became the Mobile Applications Development Team Lead, where they wrote clean code and managed iOS and Android developers. Mike O. then transitioned to the role of Principal Software Engineer, focusing on best practice software development for iOS.

In 2015, Abidakun worked as an iOS Software Engineer at Crowdmix, contributing to the development of a social networking application. Mike O. was involved in various features such as bespoke UI/UX design, RESTful service integration, and audio/video streaming. Mike O. also utilized software design patterns and practiced test-driven development.

From 2016, Abidakun held multiple roles simultaneously. Mike O. worked at The Times as an iOS Software Engineer, contributing to the evolution of their prestigious applications, including custom UI controls and animations. At Packt, they served as a Technical Reviewer and Contributor. At Starling Bank, they briefly worked as an iOS Software Engineer.

Abidakun then joined Meetup in 2018, initially as an iOS Software Engineer and later became the iOS Tech Lead. Mike O. worked in a small team, implementing custom UI and animation, performing test-driven development, and integrating various technologies.

In 2018, Abidakun also started working at Equal Experts as a Mobile Software Engineer, specializing in iOS and Flutter development. Mike O. focused on building mobile applications using these technologies.

Most recently, in 2020, Abidakun joined Spring Health as a Software Engineer, specializing in Flutter.

Mike O. Abidakun has a Bachelor of Science (BSc) Hons. degree in Computer Science from the University of Greenwich, which they obtained from 1992 to 1996. In 2012, they attended Skills Matter for two separate courses: "Advanced TDD with Robert C. Martin" and "Clean Code with Robert C. Martin." In the same year, they received a certification in Line Management from the Chartered Management Institute and became a Certified Scrum Master through the Scrum Alliance. Additionally, in 1999, Mike earned the Sun Certified Java Programmer credential from Sun. Furthermore, they recently obtained a certification in "Cybersecurity at Work" from LinkedIn in August 2022.
