Gautam Jayaprakash has a diverse work experience spanning over several roles and companies. Gautam started as a Summer Intern at IBM in 2004, where they gained early exposure to the industry. Gautam then joined VMware as a Senior QA Engineer in 2005, leading test frameworks and providing technical leadership for UI and API QA teams. Gautam then moved to Terracotta at Software AG in 2010, where they served as an R&D Manager, responsible for testing, build infrastructure, performance engineering, and DevOps. Gautam successfully grew the department from a team of 2 to 11 engineers across multiple geographies and improved customer satisfaction through the development of test infrastructure. After that, Gautam worked at Metamarkets as a Devops Leader from 2013 to 2016, managing build and deployment, site reliability, cost management, and documentation. Gautam was instrumental in establishing a continuous delivery pipeline and building an in-house DevOps team. Gautam then joined Platform9 in 2016 as a Director of Infrastructure and Operations, where they oversaw cloud management product delivery and grew the devops department. Gautam later transitioned to the role of Director of Engineering within the same company, managing the India R&D team and being responsible for recruitment, resource allocation, budgeting, and productivity. Currently, Gautam is working at Spot AI as the Director of Engineering, starting in 2023. Additionally, Gautam had two stints as a Dad while working at Home, from 2016 to 2016 and from 2023 to 2023. Overall, Gautam Jayaprakash has demonstrated expertise in engineering leadership, DevOps, and quality assurance throughout their career.

Gautam Jayaprakash completed their Bachelor of Engineering (B.E) specializing in Electronics Engineering from S.R.E.S. College of Engineering, Kopargaon, between 1998 and 2002. Following that, they pursued a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Computer Engineering from Syracuse University from 2003 to 2005.
