Matt Owen, MD, is an experienced orthopaedic surgeon currently employed at SportsMED Orthopaedic Surgery and Spine Center since August 2019. Prior to this role, Matt Owen completed an Orthopaedic Sports Medicine Fellowship at Taos Orthopaedic Institute from July 2018 to July 2019 and served as an Orthopaedic Surgery Resident at the University of Alabama at Birmingham from June 2013 to June 2018. Matt Owen earned a Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Alabama School of Medicine in 2013 and holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemical and Biological Engineering from The University of Alabama, obtained in 2009.
