Rok Žlender has a diverse work experience spanning multiple companies and roles. Rok currently holds the position of VP, Platform Engineering at Sportradar starting in April 2023. Prior to this, they served as the Global Head of Platform Engineering at Sportradar from September 2022 to May 2023.

Before joining Sportradar, Rok worked at Acquia, where they held several leadership roles in cloud engineering. Rok was the Senior Director of Cloud Engineering from April 2018 to September 2022 and the Director of Cloud Engineering from September 2016 to April 2018. Additionally, they served as the Director of Many Site Engineering from January 2016 to September 2016 and the Manager of Site Factory Engineering from September 2013 to December 2015.

Earlier in their career, Rok worked at Examiner.com as the Director of Technology from August 2012 to August 2013, and as a Developer from January 2010 to July 2012. Rok started their professional journey at Nowpublic as a QA Developer, where they contributed to the creation of a fully automated testing environment from July 2007 to June 2010.

Rok Žlender attended the University of Ljubljana from 2002 to 2008, earning a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Computer Science.
