David Nelson has over 30 years of experience in manufacturing engineering, currently serving as Manufacturing Engineering Manager - New Business at Spirit AeroSystems since October 2020, following the role of Manufacturing Engineering Section Head. Prior to this, David held multiple positions at BOMBARDIER from September 1992 to October 2020, including Manufacturing Engineering Section Head for significant projects such as the A320 NEO TR Development and the Global 7000/8000 & C-Series Centre Wing Box. David's academic background includes a CMI Level 5 Diploma in Management and Leadership and an HNC in Mechanical Engineering, both obtained from Belfast Metropolitan College.
