Laurence Devereux is a seasoned professional in sales and marketing within the optics and photonics industry, currently serving as the Exhibition Sales lead for SPIE in Europe since November 2019. Responsibilities include overseeing sales activities for prominent events such as Photonex and Photonics West. Laurence has also been a Marketing Specialist at Scientific Marketing Solutions since January 2008, focusing on website development, technical writing, and social media management. Previous experience includes a significant tenure as Event Director for Xmark Media Ltd, managing the Photonex and Vacuum Expo events. Laurence began a career in mobile exhibitions with Mobilex Exhibitions Ltd, establishing expertise in arranging exhibition tours across diverse sectors. Educationally, Laurence holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from the University of Reading, obtained between 1981 and 1984.
