Mike Kerchner has more than 30 years of work experience in the field of journalism and publishing. Mike started their career in 1988 as a Sports Writer for Advertiser-Tribune. In 1991, they joined NSSN as a Staff Assistant and later held positions such as Editorial Specialist and Associate Editor. In 1991, they also started working as a Senior Editor for Kay Publishing Co., where they managed all aspects of publication and oversaw a team of staff and freelancers. In 2012, Kerchner became the Editor in Chief at SPEED SPORT. Throughout their career, they have gained extensive experience in managing publications, overseeing teams, and covering motorsports.

Mike Kerchner attended Heidelberg University from 1988 to 1991, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications. During their time at Heidelberg University, they also pursued studies in Communication & Theatre Arts.
