Alison Smith is currently serving as the Executive Director at the Queensland Curriculum and Assessment Authority (QCAA) since July 2018. Smith has extensive experience in leadership roles within Speech Pathology Australia, where involvement includes serving as Vice President Finance, Fellow, Director on the Board of Directors, 2019 Conference Coordinator, and Branch President. Prior experience includes the position of Director of Strategy and Performance for the Metropolitan Region at the Queensland Department of Education from June 2015 to July 2018. Smith's educational background includes a Bachelor's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from The University of Queensland and a Graduate Diploma in Education from the University of New England.
