Aysel Engineer has been working in the field of psychology and special education since 2005. Aysel began their career as a Clinical Psychologist and Remedial Educator at Beacon High School. In 2013, they moved to Leap Ahead Assessment and Learning Centre, where they continued in the same role. In 2020, they co-founded SpEd@home, a platform providing academic, behavioural and emotional aids to children with special needs, as well as empowering parents and caretakers with effective management strategies at home.

Aysel Engineer completed their Master of Arts (MA) in Psychology & German from Convent of Jesus & Mary, Fort in 1992. Aysel then went on to obtain a Master's degree in Clinical Psychology with a focus in Administration of Special Education from the same school. Additionally, they have obtained a Hanen Early Communication Professional certification from Spark Communications in September 2017, and is a Pearson Certified Coach for Psychological & Educational Tests.
