Maria Smith began their work experience as an Operations Manager at Draft Builders in August 2021. Draft Builders offers high-end domestic patent outsourcing services to assist patent preparation and prosecution teams in handling an increased workload without the need for additional hiring and management. Maria also worked as an Operations Manager at Specifio starting in March 2021.

Maria Smith received their Bachelor's degree in International Relations from San Francisco State University, which they attended from 2011 to 2013. Prior to that, they studied International Relations and Affairs at Santa Barbara City College from 2009 to 2011.
