Amanda Spies is an accomplished development professional with extensive experience in nonprofit management and fundraising. Currently serving as the Director of Development at Special Olympics Illinois since February 2022, Amanda previously held various roles at Northwestern Medicine as a Philanthropy Associate focused on major gifts in oncology from June 2020 to February 2022, and at the Muscular Dystrophy Association in multiple capacities over four years, culminating in the position of Regional Volunteer Manager for the Central Division. Amanda's background also includes volunteer management at Special Olympics Florida and administrative support roles at the University of Miami. Holding a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing with minors in Advertising and English from the University of Miami, Amanda has consistently demonstrated a commitment to enhancing community engagement, increasing revenue opportunities, and fostering volunteer leadership across diverse organizations.
